Business Support Administrator

Bringing energy to life National Grid touches the lives of almost everyone in the UK and our Gas Transmission network reaches across mainland Britain ensuring that gas is transported safely and available on demand to our customers We’re working hard to create value for people today and shape the future of energy tomorrow About you We are looking for a driven Business Support Administrator to join our Pipeline Maintenance Centre (PMC) team within Gas Transmission (GT) This role will be based out of our Glasgow office As our Business Support Administrator you will - Plan support and deliver quality assurance and admin tasks in order to ensure that operations meets financial quality and customer objectives
- Manage the business recharges ensuring timely and accurate submissions
We are looking for a someone who is - Task focused has a structured approach someone who can understand processes and can effectively manage information from both systems and people including the senior management team
- Self-motivated You’ll be organised and able to work independently as well as being a team player enabling you to work effectively on your own team and the wider PMC team
- Communicator – You’ll be working within a support team based across within a PMC operations site so being able to build and maintain working relationships alongside having the ability to deliver within deadlines
You will be the ‘go to person’ for all things support related so we are looking for someone who has a up to date knowledge of the Microsoft office e g word excel etc Alongside a background of delivering administrative support to a varied workforce You’ll be joining a small but dynamic team so having both the ambition and knowledge to drive excellence within this customer focused environment is key About the role Key Accountabilities- Produce accurate and comprehensive Quality Assurance packs to both internal and external customers
- Compile accurate and comprehensive recharges to both internal and external customers ensuring all costs are captured
- Manage and update PMC enquiry log for area of responsibility
- Arrange and plan the delivery of site hire equipment
- Interface with Customer services for potential new work
Qualifications and Technical Knowledge and Experience- Full valid UK driving licence
- Detailed knowledge of National Grid Systems i e SAP Share Point
- Proficient in the use of company office systems including Microsoft
- Demonstrate a in depth understanding of procurement processes and job control processes
- Strong organisational and administrate skills
